This program combines hands-on practical training with in-depth theoretical knowledge to ensure participants develop both confidence and competence in performing minimally invasive surgeries.

Are you a general surgeon ready to transcend the boundaries of traditional surgery? To offer your patients less pain, faster recovery, and superior outcomes? The future of surgery is minimally invasive, and the demand for skilled laparoscopic surgeons has never been greater. The Medicity invites you to embark on a transformative journey that will not only elevate your skillset but also redefine your surgical career. This is more than a course; it's your pathway to becoming a leader in the operating room.

Why Choose Our Fellowship in Minimal Access Surgery (FMAS/DMAS)

This isn’t just another training program. We’ve designed a powerful, hybrid learning model that bridges the critical gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world, hands-on expertise. In just 28 days, you will gain the confidence and competence to perform advanced procedures independently.

Our Unique 2-Phase Approach to Mastery:

Phase 1: Foundational Theory & Global Certification (14 Days Online)

  • Learn from the Legends: Your journey begins with 14 days of intensive online learning, delivered by a distinguished faculty of India’s top medical professionals.

  • Build Unshakable Knowledge: Master the essential theoretical principles, patient selection, and procedural protocols for advanced MAS.

  • Earn Prestigious Credentials: The phase concludes with a certification from a Globally Recognised British Certified CPD Accreditation body, awarding you valuable CPD points and a MAS credential that enhances your professional portfolio.

Phase 2: Immersive Hands-On Surgical Training (14 Days On-Site)
This is where theory meets the scalpel. Under the mentorship of renowned experts like Dr. (Prof.) A.K. Kriplani, you will immerse yourself in our state-of-the-art facilities for two weeks of intensive, daily training.

What Your Hands-On Experience Includes:

  • 11 Hours of Daily, Focused Training: (8:00 AM – 6:00 PM) designed for maximum skill acquisition.

  • Master the Fundamentals: Perfect knotting and suturing (extracorporeal & intracorporeal), tissue retrieval, and port closure through structured drills.

  • Simulated & Live Animal Surgery: Hone your precision in our dedicated WET labs, performing procedures on live animal tissues to build muscle memory and confidence in a risk-free environment.

  • Real Operating Theatre (OT) Experience: The ultimate test. On alternate days, you will step into the OT to observe, assist, and participate in live human surgeries based on demand, gaining invaluable patient interaction and real-time decision-making experience.

The Medicity offers a comprehensive 14-day hands-on laparoscopic training program exclusively tailored for general surgeons. This intensive course provides an immersive learning experience, combining theoretical knowledge, simulated practice, and real-world surgical exposure. Led by India’s top surgical professionals, including the esteemed Dr. (Prof.) AK Kriplani, this program is meticulously structured to ensure participants gain unparalleled expertise in minimally invasive surgical techniques.

Training sessions are held daily from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, offering 11 hours of rigorous, focused education. The curriculum seamlessly integrates theoretical lectures, dry and vet lab sessions, and live animal surgery procedures, culminating in real Operating Theatre (OT)/Operating Room (OR) experience on alternate days. This blend of learning modalities ensures participants master the critical skills necessary for laparoscopic procedures.

The training emphasizes core laparoscopic techniques, including knotting and suturing methods such as the laparoscopic extracorporeal Weston knot, surgeon’s knot, and advanced intracorporeal techniques. Participants also refine their skills in tissue retrieval, port closure, and practical drills such as paper cutting, cobra rope exercises, and simulated tasks designed to mimic real surgical challenges.

As part of the program, participants will perform live animal surgeries to develop precision and confidence in a controlled environment. Procedures include laparoscopic cholecystectomy, appendicectomy, hernia repair, nephrectomy, splenectomy, and more, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of diverse laparoscopic techniques. Additionally, participants will gain exposure to commonly performed surgeries on human patients based on demand, such as laparoscopic abdominal wall reconstruction, sleeve gastrectomy, Nissen fundoplication, and minimally invasive procedures for hemorrhoids.

Under the expert guidance of seasoned mentors, participants will actively engage in real OT/OR sessions, observing and assisting in live surgeries. These sessions offer invaluable opportunities for skill enhancement, real-time decision-making, and patient interaction, preparing participants for complex surgical scenarios.

The Medicity’s state-of-the-art facilities, dedicated wet labs, and expert faculty provide an unmatched platform for professional growth. Upon successful completion, participants receive a prestigious certification, highlighting their proficiency in advanced laparoscopic surgery. This program is ideal for general surgeons seeking to elevate their skills, advance their careers, and achieve excellence in minimally invasive surgery.
