Obstetrics & Gynaecology, IVF & Laparoscopic and Hysteroscopic Surgeon

Training in endoscopic surgery. She underwent training in laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery in UK for one year (1993-94) on receiving the Commonwealth Scholarship from Commonwealth University, UK. Thereafter with her training and experience, she helped in setting up endoscopic surgery facility in AIIMS, Delhi and Mafraq Hospital, Abu Dhabi. 

Dr. Renu Misra organized the first live endoscopic surgery workshop at AIIMS in 1995 for the exposure and training of gynecologists in India. Since then, she regularly conducts workshops to provide hands-on training to gynecologists. 

Training in infertility and ART.  Dr. Renu Misra has a large experience in treatment of infertility which includes medical treatment, endoscopic and open surgery, and IVF (test tube baby)

Dr. Renu Misra obtained training in IVF in various centres in UK, Ireland and USA which include the following: 

  • University of Manchester, UK – 1988-1989 
  • HARI Unit, Rotunda Hospital, Dublin, Ireland – 2010. 
  • Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Unit, Iowa University, USA -2011. 
  • REI Unit, University of Michigan, USA – 2012. 

Reproductive endocrinology. Dr Renu Misra worked as a clinical fellow for one year in University of Manchester, UK in Reproductive endocrinology. She has a clear understanding of the causes and treatment of endocrine problems in women like 

  • Polycystic ovarian disease 
  • Treatment for anovulatory infertility 
  • Menstrual problems 
  • Hirsuitism, acne because of hormonal disturbances 
  • Hormone therapy after menopause 
 

After graduating in 1981 from Maharani Laxmi Bai Medical College in Jhansi, Dr. Renu Misra went on to obtain her post-graduate degree in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 1985. Over the past 35 years, she has served as a specialist in various tertiary care hospitals in India, the UK, and the UAE. In 1993-94, Dr. Renu Misra  was awarded the Commonwealth Scholarship from Commonwealth University in London to undergo training in endoscopic surgery in Leeds and London. She has also received training in ART (IVF) from Dublin (Ireland), Michigan University, and the University of Iowa in the USA.

As an author, Dr. Renu Misra has edited and written seven textbooks and 11 book chapters in Obstetrics and Gynecology. She has also published over 50 articles in scientific journals. Additionally, Dr. Renu Misra regularly conducts training programs for gynecologists.
