Foundational Laparoscopic Surgery — Pig Model

OT gowning protocol, safety briefing, animal handling guidelines, and pneumoperitoneum creation. Introduction to port placement and systematic pelvic survey. Focus on fundamental laparoscopic dissection, tissue handling, and hemostasis under expert supervision.

Continuation of the Wet Lab from Day 5. Advanced-level laparoscopic procedures with emphasis on complex dissection, multi-layer uterine repair, deep pelvic anatomy, intracorporeal suturing mastery, and fertility-preserving principles.

Laparoscopic Myomectomy (Single & Multiple Fibroids) — Myoma enucleation & multilayer uterine suturing

Laparoscopic TLH Simulation — Bladder dissection, vessel sealing, vault closure

Laparoscopic Endometriosis Excision & Ablation — DIE identification & removal

Afternoon — Skill Assessment Test

Evaluation of camera navigation, depth perception, port placement strategy, tissue handling, cyst suturing, uterine defect closure, bleeding control drills, and intra-operative decision-making. Assessment based on precision, safety adherence, operative flow, and technical competence.

Structured Debriefing

Complication management — bleeding control, ureteric safety, bowel injury prevention. Energy source safety, troubleshooting difficult pelvis scenarios, and conversion criteria. Individualised expert feedback on ergonomics, instrument handling, speed optimisation, and operative confidence.
