Terms and Canditions

Thank you for considering The Medicity. Below are the terms and conditions that govern our services:

Registration and Payment

  1. All participants must register for the training program through our website or by contacting us directly. Payment must be made in full at the time of admission.
  2. We accept payment via credit card, Bank transfer, or PayPal. Admission fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
  3. We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule any training program due to low enrollment, instructor unavailability, or other unforeseen circumstances. In the event of a cancellation, we will provide a full refund of the registration fee.
  4. On the day of admission, you must provide the following documents:

    1. A 2×2 inch color identity photo with a white background.
    2. A copy of your passport.
    3. Your curriculum vitae (CV).
    4. A copy of your diploma for your Bachelor’s, Master’s, and/or Ph.D. degree. If required, the copy must be notarized.
    5. A copy of your medical practice license. If necessary, it must include an English translation.
    6. A copy of your certificate of current employment, which should be within 6 months of the date of your application.

Files must be in either PDF, WORD, JPG, print Out or other file types that are accessible by Microsoft computers.


Participation and Conduct

1. All participants are encouraged to arrive on time for the training session to ensure that the training starts on time, and there are no disruptions.

2. As part of the training, all participants are requested to turn off their mobile phones or switch them to silent mode to minimize any potential distractions.

3. Participants should respect each other in the training room by refraining from interrupting or talking with others during discussions. In the event that a participant displays violent or disruptive behavior towards our staff or facilities, we retain the right to terminate their participation with immediate effect. This action will not be accompanied by any refund or certificate issuance.

4. Participants should follow the instructions provided by the trainer or facilitator to ensure that the training runs smoothly.

5. Participants should maintain cleanliness in the training room by disposing of waste in designated bins and keeping the training room tidy.

6. Participants should limit the consumption of food and drinks in the training room to minimize disruptions and maintain cleanliness.

7. Participants should dress appropriately for the training session. We encourage attendees to dress professionally.

8. Participants should maintain the confidentiality of any sensitive information shared during the training session.

9. It is important to exercise caution and care when using any equipment to avoid causing damage. If damage occurs due to negligence or misuse, you may be held liable for the cost of repairing or replacing the equipment.

10. The training room will not be available on Sundays or during any national holidays.

11. The duration of the course has been predetermined with the primary goal of facilitating effective learning. It is not possible to complete the course in a shorter time frame. However, if the participant requires more time to complete the training, they can extend the duration based on their learning experience.
If any participant chooses to withdraw from the course before completing it, they will not be entitled to receive a refund or a certificate.

12. The participant is required to keep a record of their activities in a logbook and have it validated by their mentor before the completion of the course. After fulfilling this requirement, the participant will receive a certificate that confirms all the competencies they have acquired.

13. The Medicity owns all the materials related to the training program, such as presentations, videos, books, and handouts, and they are considered intellectual property. Any reproduction, distribution, or commercial use of these materials is prohibited.

14. If you have any concerns, please send them to [email protected] or [email protected]. We ensure that we will revert you back with an update within 24 hours during working days. To prevent any misunderstandings, we kindly ask you to avoid any physical or informal communication with anyone.

15. Attendance and active engagement in the training program are mandatory for all participants. Failure to consistently participate in the program may result in “dismissal,” which involves termination from the program without any refund or certification.

16. Participants who all are not staying in The Medicity Hostel are responsible for their own transportation, accommodations, and meals during the training program.

17. In case you are unable to make it to your assigned admission time, you can opt to reschedule for the next available slot. It is crucial to keep in mind that failing to attend two consecutive slots may result in the cancellation of your training without any refund. Therefore, if you wish to enroll in the course again, you will have to reapply.

18 .The course director/Dean of The Medicity shall maintain complete authority over the actions of the participants at all times. The training program will be administered by experienced surgeons or mentors, and it is expected that The Students will show due reverence towards them.

19. The Medicity and the course director/Dean shall not bear any responsibility for any violation of civil or criminal laws committed by the Student during their entry into India or while staying in the country. Nonetheless, in the unfortunate occurrence of such an incident, The Medicity will make every effort to offer any necessary aid.

20. The student is recommended to utilize all available resources with proper respect and should take responsibility for any harm caused to the hospital due to their negligence or recklessness, except in cases of accidents or uncontrollable circumstances.

21. The participants  can only perform surgeries under the supervision of a lead surgeon who is sufficiently confident to delegate the task. Nonetheless, The Medicity will make every effort to assist the participants in obtaining the necessary experience in performing surgeries.

22. On registration day, the participants  are required to make a payment. Once registration is completed and payment has been made, students will be granted access to the training room.
 
23. Taking photographs or videos during the training program is strictly prohibited, and bringing a mobile phone inside the Operating Theatre (OT) or wet lab is also not allowed. If you are caught with a mobile phone in these restricted areas, you may face penalties, and repeated violations can lead to termination of the course.
 
24. The training dates are scheduled based on the course schedule and cannot be altered to accommodate individual convenience.
 
25. If any participant receives a termination letter, the legal team of The Medicity will handle the further process, and they may contact you for arbitration. However, once the legal team is involved, the course director, dean, or any other staff will no longer communicate with you and will not be responsible for the matter.
 

Liability and Disclaimer

a. The Medicity is not liable for any injury, loss, or damage to personal property that occurs during the training program.

b. Participants are responsible for ensuring that they are physically and mentally able to participate in the training program. The Medicity is not liable for any medical or health-related issues that may arise during the training program.

c. The Medicity reserves the right to modify the training program curriculum, instructors, and equipment without prior notice.

Intellectual Property

a. All training program materials, including presentations, videos, and handouts, are the intellectual property of The Medicity and may not be reproduced, distributed, or used for commercial purposes without our written consent.

b. Participants may use the training program materials for personal, non-commercial use only.

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

a. These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which our laparoscopic training center is located.

b. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms and conditions or the training program will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the Gurgaon Arbitration Association.
