Laparoscopic Instruments โ€” Handling with Correct & Alternate Usage
Expert-level knowledge and hands-on proficiency in all essential laparoscopic instruments โ€” Graspers, Scissors, Dissectors, Trocars, and Laparoscopic Cameras (0ยฐ, 30ยฐ, 45ยฐ). Emphasis on ergonomic design principles, controlled force application, and optimal instrument-tissue alignment. Sterilization methods: Autoclaving, ETO, Hydrogen Peroxide Plasma, and Chemical Disinfection.

Develops hand-eye coordination, depth perception, steadiness, and muscle memory before operating on patients. Strengthens left-hand control โ€” essential for traction, counter-traction, tissue exposure, and needle handling.

Comprehensive demonstration of laparoscopic suturing techniques and knot security principles. Hands-on practice of extracorporeal knots (Roeder's, Meltzer's), intracorporeal knotting over fallopian tube, and advanced applications for myomectomy, Burch colposuspension, vault closure, and rectal prolapse fixation. Safe abdominal entry techniques including Hasson's open, Veress needle, and Visiport technology.

Pelvic Anatomy for Gynae Laparoscopic Surgeries
Working surgeon's knowledge of pelvic anatomy โ€” where the uterus, ovaries, bladder, and rectum sit, how they change with pathology, danger zones (ureter, aorta, IVC), hidden spaces (pouch of Douglas, pararectal, paravesical), why port placement is anatomy-driven, and how it all applies to TLH, myomectomy, and endometriosis excision.

Hands-on training in intracorporeal continuous suturing with Dundee Jamming Knot and Aberdeen termination. Focused on TLH, uterine repair, bladder injury repair, and myomectomy closure. Also covers laparoscopic tubal surgery through case-based learning in ectopic pregnancy, salpingostomy, salpingo-oophorectomy, and two-port tubal cyst resection.

How to Create a Pneumoperitoneum
Three access techniques โ€” Veress needle, open Hasson, and direct trocar insertion. COโ‚‚ insufflation principles, optimal pressure settings (8-12 mmHg), and flow rates. Complications recognition โ€” vascular injury, bowel perforation, subcutaneous emphysema. Hands-on trocar placement, port positioning, and troubleshooting. Real patient cases across varying scenarios discussed. Complication recognition including inadvertent spillage, bleeding from the ovarian hilum, and bowel or ureteric injury.

Hysteroscopy Training with Case Studies
Hands-on hysteroscopy lab on advanced uterine simulators โ€” polypectomy, hysteroscopic myomectomy (Type 0, 1, 2), TCRE, metroplasty, and synechiae lysis. Structured around realistic case studies: abnormal uterine bleeding, infertility, recurrent miscarriage, and Asherman's syndrome.

Total Laparoscopic Hysterectomy (TLH)
Complete clinical and surgical framework โ€” indications, patient selection (fibroids, adenomyosis, endometriosis, pre-cancerous conditions), step-by-step operative technique. Real patient cases across scenarios: large fibroid uteri, previous caesarean sections with adhesions, frozen pelvis from severe endometriosis. Complication recognition and handling: ureteric and bladder injury, vascular injury, vault haematoma, bowel injury, and emergency conversion.

Practical training on the morcellator machine: safe tissue fragmentation, contained bag extraction of large fibroids or uteri, and critical complication prevention.

Laparoscopic Myomectomy
Uterine anatomy and fibroid classification. Patient selection, pre-operative evaluation and imaging interpretation. Port placement, myoma enucleation, hemostasis, suturing for uterine repair and specimen retrieval. Minimising blood loss and preserving fertility.
