The training in Fellowship & Diploma Minimal Access Surgery Training FMAS & DMAS is a specialized training program designed for General Surgeons who want to develop expertise in minimally invasive surgical techniques. Educational Qualifications: Candidates must have a recognized medical degree (MBBS) from a recognized institution. Additionally, they must have completed a residency in general surgery.
Candidates must hold a valid medical license from the Medical Council of the respective country where they completed their medical degree and residency.
When it comes to practical training, you’ll experience hands-on learning through independent sessions and real setups in the animal module. Additionally, you’ll have the opportunity to join actual operating theater (OT) sessions for surgical procedures, where the lead surgeon oversees the smooth execution of the entire process. This responsibility extends beyond the surgical steps to encompass the training of any assistants who will be assisting in the operating room.
Before an assistant can actively participate in a surgical procedure, approval from the lead surgeon is mandatory. This process ensures that the assistant has demonstrated the requisite skills and knowledge necessary for effective contribution during the procedure.
The paramount concern during surgical procedures is always patient safety. Consequently, the lead surgeon must take all necessary precautions to ensure the assistant is thoroughly prepared and capable of fulfilling their duties. This may involve providing additional training or supervision as deemed necessary.
It appears that there are 10 seats available per batch in minimal access surgery for General Surgeons. This means that in each batch, 10 General Surgeons can be accepted into the program to receive training in minimal access surgery techniques.Â

Step 1: Paying the Registration Fee To reserve your seat in the course, you need to pay a booking fee of INR 10,000/- and USD 157 for International doctors. This fee ensures that your spot is secured and will not be given to someone else.

Step 2: Paying the Admission Fee On the day of joining the course, you need to pay the admission fee.
