Day 1: Orientation, Lectures & Hands-On Simulation

  • Explanation of instrument sterilization, endoscopy tower setup, and scope maintenance.
  • Fundamentals of Upper GI Endoscopy: indications, procedural workflow, and technique.
  • Identification and management of common Upper GI emergencies:
  • GI bleeding
  • Perforation
  • Foreign body ingestion
  • Acute upper GI obstruction

Day 2: Live OT Exposure & Applied Hands-On Training

Morning Session – Live OT 

  • In-theatre Exposure to Real-Time Endoscopic Procedures
  • Understanding OT Protocols, Setup, and Patient Handling
  • Observation of Case Flow and Decision-Making During Live Cases

     

Afternoon Session – Targeted Hands-On Practice

  • Foreign Body Removal Techniques
  • Biopsy Collection Procedures
  • Polyp Removal Using Snare Tools
Day 3: Wet Lab Practice & Advanced OT Exposure

Morning Session – Wet Lab on Animal (Pig) Models

  • Endoscope Insertion and Navigation
  • Intubation Practice
  • Execution of Core GI Endoscopy Procedures in Simulated Conditions

     

Afternoon Session – Advanced OT Exposure & Convocation

  • Participation in Advanced Live Cases (Scrubbing/Hands-On as Permitted by Faculty)
  • Final Skill Assessment and Individual Feedback
  • Certificate Distribution & Convocation
