Medicity has one of it centre located in the capital - New Delhi. It is a 210-bedded multidisciplinary superspeciality which caters to 20-25 lakhs of population base and 600-700 patients per day in the OPD.
It is a premier tertiary care centre for the population of South-West Delhi and adjoining states of UP and Haryana. It is a trust hospital that is spread across an area of 4.25 acres of land. This multidisciplinary superspeciality centre started with small eye hospital was upgraded with Obstetrics and Gynaecology department in 1981 to address the needs of safe Maternity & Women health services. In 1988-89, a new four storeyed building was added and soon all the basic medical and surgical specialities became functional.
Keeping in tune the fast changing trends of medical care provisions, The healthcare centre began its first phase of modernization in 1994, when another new four-storeyed building was added to the existing infrastructure, connected at every level thus making it a twin complex. Laparoscopic surgery was started in 1994 and this department has been at the forefront of propagating newer yet cost-effective techniques. Expanded intensive care and coronary care unit with the most modern monitoring devices and other life support systems were established in 1995.
